The 57th annual meeting of the North East Linguistics Society (NELS 57) will be hosted by the City University of New York Graduate Center. The conference will be held Friday October 16 through Sunday October 18th, 2026 at the historic B. Altman & Co. Building at 365 5th Ave., New York, NY.
We invite abstracts for 20-minute talks and posters on theoretical and formal issues in any area in natural language. Abstracts, including data and references, may not exceed 2 letter (8.5 x 11″) pages, and should have margins of at least 1″ (2.54cm), and be set in Times New Roman in no smaller than 11pt font. Abstracts should not reveal the identity of the author(s) in any way. Authors are permitted to submit no more than two abstracts, and no more than one single-authored abstract. Abstracts are due by 11:59 pm EST, Sunday, June 7th Tuesday, June 9th, and must be submitted at the conference’s OpenReview site.
